Marines are stereotypically known as the dumb, buff branch. A stereotype that they have accepted and quite frankly, love. You will see some of the dumbest people in the Marines and you will do some of the dumbest things that you couldn’t even have imagined. For this reason they are known as, and affectionately refer to themselves as, crayon eaters.

Those dress blue uniforms sure are sexy, but I think my brain is too high functioning to be a crayon eater.
